Serendipitous Smiles (Micropoetry)

One sideways glance
Two barren hearts clink

Overflows with jocund emotion
This moment of unexpected unison.

Infinity is far too long
Forever is an elusive song

A split second smile
Enough to last a lifetime.

Flashback Fridays are for reminiscing! This is from October 17, last year.

Hysteria

A simple movement
of your eyes
A little flutter
in my heart,

No meaning in
spoken works,
No sign of
backing down.

Triggering a
mild hysteria
Breaking my
sea of calm

The start of
something magical
Our first dance
You holding my palm.

Last Glance

Suddenly I whirl
For one last glimpse
But did you see?
We’ll never know, will we?

Drifters of the world
Lovers of the wild,
Once meeting somehow
Guess we’ll never know now.

Stars aligned, we shared a vow
Broken now, wonder how
How did we let go?
Think we’ll never know.

SALONI

Thought

“I have come to accept the feeling of not knowing where I am going. And I have trained myself to love it. Because it is only when we are suspended in mid-air with no landing in sight, that we force our wings to unravel and alas begin our flight. And as we fly, we still may not know where we are going to. But the miracle is in the unfolding of the wings. You may not know where you’re going, but you know that so long as you spread your wings, the winds will carry you.”
