“Life is simple. We insist on making it complicated. ”
Confucius

This is the first Wise Words Wednesday that I am doing here. I know I have a lot to share, but I just haven’t found all the time to do it properly. I have photos, stories, and experiences to share about life in Germany, and I will in due time. Till then, have a great day everyone 🙂 Thank you for all the support even when I’ve been gone. I have posts ready and I will be publishing left, right and center from now on. Wish me luck!

Hallowed By Time (NaPoWriMo)

It’s National Poetry Writing Month in April. Although I don’t live in the United States, I can easily be a part of the festivities involving literature. I am also late, April is about to end but I’ll try to write some more poems in lieu of #NaPoWriMo. Here’s my poem titled ‘Hallowed By Time

Wise Words Wednesday 4.19.17

“When you reach for the stars, you are reaching for the farthest thing out there. When you reach deep into yourself, it is the same thing, but in the opposite direction. If you reach in both directions, you will have spanned the universe.”

― Vera Nazarian, The Perpetual Calendar of Inspiration

Fairy tales in childhood are stepping stones throughout life, leading the way through trouble and trial. The value of fairy tales lies not in a brief literary escape from reality, but in the gift of hope that goodness truly is more powerful than evil and that even the darkest reality can lead to a Happily Ever After. Do not take that gift of hope lightly. It has the power to conquer despair in the midst of sorrow, to light the darkness in the valleys of life, to whisper “One more time” in the face of failure. Hope is what gives life to dreams, making the fairy tale the reality.
