“The Seven Social Sins are:
Wealth without work.
Pleasure without conscience.
Knowledge without character.
Commerce without morality.
Science without humanity.
Worship without sacrifice.
Politics without principle.
From a sermon given by Frederick Lewis Donaldson in Westminster Abbey, London, on March 20, 1925.”
― Frederick Lewis Donaldson
I was working on something related to conscience and felt like it would make for a great theme for Wise Words Wednesday this week. In fact, it would be a great topic to discuss on the blog in general, because it is open to interpretation and yet it is something that we define so strictly.
I am also promising myself that I will not miss any WWW posts because that will help me be more punctual and regular about the posts on the blog. And God knows I’m slacking, haha. Even Insta will stop being inspirational for me and I am thankful that writing and this blog is my safe place and therapy. Thank you for reading. I am thinking of making this even more personal so that it can soothe me, help me keep sane. I will decide soon, but hope all of you have a good day today! 🙂
