Secret Indulgence

I keep you hidden from the
prying eyes of the world
and devour you,
when night time comes
Slowly, I drown in
your sweet fragrance
Guilty, like a
secret indulgence.

The next prompt for #augunfiltered was Secret Indulgence. And I almost didn’t come up with anything till the last moment!

Ghost Feet

This little poem is about that moment when you long for your better half. In the morning, even when the bright sun has risen, it seems all grey because of their absence. Being habitual of their embrace, and their warmth, your feet feel alone in a bed for two.

Grey dawns this sunlight,

when it doesn’t seem so right

shuffling fervently two bedsheets,

your warm embrace doesn’t meet

anymore,

doesn’t envelope my two cold, trembling feet.

With You!

Nights with you are exciting, crazy,
Mornings hot bothered, and lazy.
The closer we get
the world gets hazy.
Wait for me, oh reticent paramour!
This love, you say, is easy.

Flashback Friday: My Eclipse

Although austere,
yet absolute, complete
a solitary existence was mine.

Spellbinding, you came along
unbeknown shade to my shine
the welcome eclipse to a shrine.

An ardent irrevocable ring
no love bargained
boundless as the stars in the night.

Short, tender marriage
christened “Curt!” “Contrived!”
this jubilant union of darkness & light.
