“A house is made of bricks and beams. A home is made of hopes and dreams.”

“Home is where love resides, memories are created, friends always belong, and laughter never ends.”

Couldn’t agree more with this quote today. I guess I just am in that mood where I really miss home some days. Reading these quotes help me cope and understand that the other things I am doing are just as important. And that any place could feel like home if we just felt like it. Maybe my new room comes with the home vibes.

Hope you guys have a great day 🙂

“Show me a person who has never made a mistake and I’ll show you someone who has never achieved much.”
― Joan Collins

I need to explain my absence from WordPress for the last 2 or 3 weeks. I had my exams and was trying to focus on them, albeit I know the extent of my focus 😀 Haha. Anyway, I am hopefully back to regular posting and there would be a bevy of posts on my blog. For a few days after the exams, I was just proacrastinating and it had already been so long since I had posted, I felt weird even saying anything. But I love my blog so much, that I could never think of leaving it forever. More posts on poetry, and travel coming soon. Have a great day everyone!

“Life is simple. We insist on making it complicated. ”
Confucius

This is the first Wise Words Wednesday that I am doing here. I know I have a lot to share, but I just haven’t found all the time to do it properly. I have photos, stories, and experiences to share about life in Germany, and I will in due time. Till then, have a great day everyone 🙂 Thank you for all the support even when I’ve been gone. I have posts ready and I will be publishing left, right and center from now on. Wish me luck!

“Today is life–the only life you are sure of. Make the most of today. Get interested in something. Shake yourself awake. Develop a hobby. Let the winds of enthusiasm sweep through you. Live today with gusto.”
– Dale Carnegie

I am sure Dale Carnegie has an idea of what to do, and how to do it right! He did sell more than a million copies of his books after all. Have a good day  🙂

“Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is a delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead-end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.”

Denis Waitley

I have been working on a lot of things currently, as I outlined in my last post. Some preparations for a big move, and I mean big! I am nervous and excited but with a lot of responsibility. My emotions have been all over the place because everything is so raw and overwhelming right now. The poor blog has been suffering the brunt of my unavailability. So my plan is to create some posts in the next few days and have them ready for later. If all goes well, there will be a lot of  exciting, me-type blog posts coming soon! This is my haven, and I love having something that is a true expression of who I am.

So today’s quote is an extension of all my feelings. I am feeling pumped and this is an inspiring quote for everyone else too who may be feeling low about something in life. Thank you for letting me rant. Have a great day!

Wise Words Wednesday 13.2.19

I can never find one quote when I start looking for a particular topic. And, I cannot stop myself from posting all three good quotes that I find, now can I? It IS called Wise Words Wednesday, after all! Haha. I am hoping that my cross comical lines would delight at least one person. Today’s theme was success, and the results of hard work. Hope you like them, and have a great day 🙂

Great achievement is usually born of great sacrifice and is never the result of selfishness.

Change is the end result of all true learning.

“Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back.”

-Harvey Mackay

Sometimes we realise the importance of time when it has passed. And the value of some things or people after they have gone from our life. If we could change that a little bit and be more perceptive to change, and thoughts – we could live a more balanced, happier life. 🙂

The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet.
-Aristotle

Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.
-Anthony J. D’Angelo

I think the most important lesson in life is to know that you will have to learn always. Either it is higher studies, work culture, social interaction or just being with family. Learning and adapting makes you fit for a good life and success in the professional front too. I am trying to teach myself the same lessons too.

So, two quotes for Wise Words Wednesday on education, but no harm in learning more, is there? Have a good day everyone 🙂
