You’ve made me a mystic
I belong to you in letter and spirit.
With my words, I claim to find you
While in my soul you already reside.
I am lost and found with you beside.

Focusing on spreading the language of love. Having someone be a part of you, and claiming it for all!

Lay Bare (FF)

Get me a pale blonde bob,
And suede boots in grey charcoal.

Make me look a little different,
But separate from my soul.

Claw at me with your suspicion.
Try me, I will still be more!

I’m now two souls, different,
I am not the ME you’re looking for.

Learning to love yourself normally takes a while. To accept your flaws, to embrace your quirkiness and celebrate the qualities of oneself come with age. And, till then we try to present a different front to the world.. an artificial, made-up version which conflicts with our true image. If that persists for long, we become two different people, looking perfect but feeling almost empty with our rendition of own selves.

Sole Soul (and Follow Friday!)

She is aglow with the right vibe,

Exuding through her radiant soul.

Men see only the embellished sole.

I am observing Follow Friday today. Please leave a like on my latest post, and comment with a link to your blog and if you choose to follow me, I’ll follow you back. It is a great way to meet new bloggers and read diverse posts! Have a great day everyone 🙂

I’ve started Flashback Friday to repost some posts because I have a lot more followers than I did last year. It is also a very simple way to reminisce about my state of mind from a year ago! This was a surprise haiku that just came to me because I was thinking about how inner beauty is much more than the apparent beauty that people so revere.

“You pierce my soul. I am half agony, half hope. Tell me not that I am too late, that such precious feelings are gone forever. I offer myself to you again with a heart even more your own than when you almost broke it, eight years and a half ago. Dare not say that man forgets sooner than the woman, that his love has an earlier death. I have loved none but you.”

– Persuasion, Jane Austen
