Wise Words Wednesday (Nov 27, 2019)

The greatest lovers are like twin blooms, each reflecting the passion and the glory of the other.

Jonathan Lockwood Huie

I was in a weird funk last week! This week has been almost back to normal. But some things happened that changed so many of my views, for better or for worse. I hate being cryptic here, but the quote should be helpful as a hint. Anyway, A quote about a new love for Wise Words Wednesday. Hope you have a lovely day! 🙂

Wise Words Wednesday (Nov 12, 2019)

“The Seven Social Sins are:

Wealth without work.
Pleasure without conscience.
Knowledge without character.
Commerce without morality.
Science without humanity.
Worship without sacrifice.
Politics without principle.
From a sermon given by Frederick Lewis Donaldson in Westminster Abbey, London, on March 20, 1925.”
― Frederick Lewis Donaldson

I was working on something related to conscience and felt like it would make for a great theme for Wise Words Wednesday this week. In fact, it would be a great topic to discuss on the blog in general, because it is open to interpretation and yet it is something that we define so strictly.

I am also promising myself that I will not miss any WWW posts because that will help me be more punctual and regular about the posts on the blog. And God knows I’m slacking, haha. Even Insta will stop being inspirational for me and I am thankful that writing and this blog is my safe place and therapy. Thank you for reading. I am thinking of making this even more personal so that it can soothe me, help me keep sane. I will decide soon, but hope all of you have a good day today! 🙂

My Eclipse (Flashback Friday)

Although austere,
yet absolute, complete
a solitary existence was mine.

Spellbinding, you came along
unbeknown shade to my shine
the welcome eclipse to a shrine.

An ardent irrevocable ring
no love bargained
boundless as the stars in the night.

Short, tender marriage
christened “Curt!” “Contrived!”
this jubilant union of darkness & light.

This post appeared for the first time on this blog in November 2016. I am reposting because I have a few more followers now and love the post a lot!

Wise Words Wednesday 3.21.18

Earth teach me to forget myself as melted snow forgets its life. Earth teach me resignation as the leaves which die in the fall. Earth teach me courage as the tree which stands all alone. Earth teach me regeneration as the seed which rises in the spring.

-William Alexander

My post is delayed, but better late than never. Have a great day full of sunshine, happiness and small successes that guide you to your ultimate path every day 🙂
