Wise Words Wednesday 7.6.17

While friendship itself has an air of eternity about it, seeming to transcend all natural limits, there is hardly any emotion so utterly at the mercy of time. We form friendships and grow out of them. It might almost be said that we cannot retain the faculty of friendship unless we are continually making new friends.

We cannot stop the winter or the summer from coming. We cannot stop the spring or the fall or make them other than they are. They are gifts from the universe that we cannot refuse. But we can choose what we will contribute to life when each arrives.

Wise Words Wednesday 1.3.17

“A star falls from the sky and into your hands. Then it seeps through your veins and swims inside your blood and becomes every part of you. And then you have to put it back into the sky. And it’s the most painful thing you’ll ever have to do and that you’ve ever done. But what’s yours is yours. Whether it’s up in the sky or here in your hands. And one day, it’ll fall from the sky and hit you in the head real hard and that time, you won’t have to put it back in the sky again.”

C. JoyBell C.

Knowing and having. Not having and grieving are are all part of life. Sometimes we lose the one thing we hold most dear. But it doesn’t mean that we can never have it back. We learn that we should cherish the present, live in the moment and appreciate all that we’ve been blessed with. Have a great day! 🙂

Wise Words Wednesday

We have no right to ask when a sorrow comes, ‘Why did this happen to me?’ unless we ask the same question for every joy that comes our way.
– Lord Rama

In the week leading up to Diwali, these words that Lord Rama said to his brother, Lakshman are wise and most appropriate!

Wise Words Wednesday

Gardening is not a rational act. What matters is the immersion of the hands in the earth, that ancient ceremony of which the Pope kissing the tarmac is merely a pallid vestigial remnant. In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt.

Margaret Atwood

With this second post under the Wise Words Wednesday flag, I wish you have a nice day! 🙂

Wise Words Wednesday

I feel too much. That’s what’s going on.’ ‘Do you think one can feel too much? Or just feel in the wrong ways?’ ‘My insides don’t match up with my outsides.’ ‘Do anyone’s insides and outsides match up?’ ‘I don’t know. I’m only me.’ ‘Maybe that’s what a person’s personality is: the difference between the inside and outside.’ ‘But it’s worse for me.’ ‘I wonder if everyone thinks it’s worse for him.’ ‘Probably. But it really is worse for me.

Jonathan Safran Foer

Have a happy Wednesday ! 😀

Three Day Quote Challenge: Day 3

Chirping with excitement like a little baby bird, today I successfully complete another one of the Three Day Quote Challenges. David, from Chape Personal Trainer, put me up to this little mischief! He’s great at that – and at exercising, healthy eating, helping and spreading a lot of cheer. You know what, see for yourself! He does his best work and inspires us at this address.

Challenge rules:
  1. Post three consecutive days.
  2. You can pick one or three quotes per day.
  3. Challenge three different bloggers per day.

230_full.jpgPeople think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that’s what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life.

A true soul mate is probably the most important person you’ll ever meet because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a soul mate forever? Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you and then leave.

A soul mates purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, make you so desperate and out of control that you have to transform your life, then introduce you to your spiritual master.two-quotes_318-10953.jpg
