Happy New Year 2019!

A crisp dawn with bright, blue skies
Bring you new happiness and new heights,
As the old year goes, on the horizon are
New memories, milestones and infinite growth.

It seems hard for me to believe, but it is here! 2019, the last of the teens πŸ˜‰

I have grown up along with the years in an almost uncanny way, and it seems like a great year to have fun, and be responsible all at the same time. I have not got to making resolutions yet, but I am planning on doing it soon. Getting fit is always a priority, but seems like that along with the other promises are off to a slow start. Nonetheless, I believe the will to start anew, and with fresh vigour is equally important.

Here is wishing everyone a happy and prosperous new year, where you grow for good, and enjoy each moment fully. I know I have a lot of changes to make as a person, as a friend, as a sibling, and I am hoping that I can do them all justice.

In terms of being thankful, I would not be able to name all the people who have made 2018 memorable for me, or being a part of my life that drives a change. But thank you to everyone who loved me enough to be truthful to me. Thank you to all the people who hated me enough to make me change paths. Thank you to my family and friends who have supported me through thick and thin. Hopefully, I can deserve the same kind of love and support in the years to come, and I can extend the same towards all the people in my life. All I can ask is for God to forgive me, and bless us all!

Have a happy new year, everybody! πŸ™‚

Not Your Average Book Haul! (feat. Stationery)

I went to the local book fair a few days ago, which has been a bi-annual tradition of mine for the last few years. This one was the International version, which meant they featured books of different authors from a lot of different countries, which I would appreciate if I knew any other language. Jokes apart, I saw some coffee-table books and photographic ones that were different and that I loved! This post will be my Book Haul and some stationery bits that I could not refrain from buying.

Another reason why this Haul is extra special is that it includes books that my very thoughtful friend gifted to me, mere days after the Fair. I was so excited because she got me two of the very books that I mentioned in my 2018 Book Bucket List.

Another habit of my mine is to go completely gaga purchasing books. And, don’t even get me started on stationery – Me look-ey, me buy-ey! And, that has resulted in an overflowing bookcase and a not so full bank account. However, this time I was rational about each and every decision, like looking up Goodreads ratings for each book.; and gauging the practical use of each stationery item that I bought. I’ll start with the stationery:

  • Owl Hard-Bound Notebook in A5
Okay, yes. I bought another diary, in another print, made of handmade paper that I will save for a rainy day. But, I’m also planning to make doodles, for which this would be perfect, handy and easy-to-carry.

New Year 2018!

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year 2018! I’m a little late to the party because I got started on one of the things that I had promised myself – some cozy family time! It was relaxing and calming and I feel ready to begin the new year head on. I always forget how travel and good company can also rejuvenate the soul. πŸ™‚ Still haven’t gotten started on the resolutions though πŸ˜‰

Wise Words Wednesday

β€‹β€œI am almost a hundred years old; waiting for the end, and thinking about the beginning.

There are things I need to tell you, but would you listen if I told you how quickly time passes?
I know you are unable to imagine this.
Nevertheless, I can tell you that you will awake someday to find that your life has rushed by at a speed at once impossible and cruel. The most intense moments will seem to have occurred only yesterday and nothing will have erased the pain and pleasure, the impossible intensity of love and its dog-leaping happiness, the bleak blackness of passions unrequited, or unexpressed, or unresolved.

You get old and you realize there are no answers, just stories…
