Let’s go see the world
from your eyes!
Don’t worry if you’re making waves simply by being yourself. The moon does it all the time.
– Scott Stabile
I used to find, and collect and write down quotes from everywhere. I am from the newspaper generation where Sunday used to be a quote extravaganza. I am not that old :P. Some of my murals (haha – diaries) are still somewhere safe at home. During the transition period to online and all access Google search, I somewhat lost my practice of doing that consistently. I still do it for Wise Words Wednesday but not so consistently.
That is when I found this quote by Scott Stabile and I was blown away by the trueness and enormity of it. It is so beautiful, and since the moon has a special meaning in my heart it touched me so much more. With this quote, I hope everyone feels empowered and can do the things that come to you truly. Being yourself is crucial!
Have a nice day.

The greatest lovers are like twin blooms, each reflecting the passion and the glory of the other.
Jonathan Lockwood Huie
I was in a weird funk last week! This week has been almost back to normal. But some things happened that changed so many of my views, for better or for worse. I hate being cryptic here, but the quote should be helpful as a hint. Anyway, A quote about a new love for Wise Words Wednesday. Hope you have a lovely day! 🙂
“Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.”
– Edith Sitwell
A winter coat (quote)! All puns intended on this blog. It is the time for winter for all of us in the Northern hemisphere and I could not be happier. I love the wintertime so much more than the sweltering summers. Don’t get me wrong, summers are glorious! But winters for me are magical – the cosiness, the food and the general vibe is pleasant. So this Wise Words Wednesday we are celebrating the winter season.
Have a great day!

“The Seven Social Sins are:
Wealth without work.
Pleasure without conscience.
Knowledge without character.
Commerce without morality.
Science without humanity.
Worship without sacrifice.
Politics without principle.
From a sermon given by Frederick Lewis Donaldson in Westminster Abbey, London, on March 20, 1925.”
― Frederick Lewis Donaldson
I was working on something related to conscience and felt like it would make for a great theme for Wise Words Wednesday this week. In fact, it would be a great topic to discuss on the blog in general, because it is open to interpretation and yet it is something that we define so strictly.
I am also promising myself that I will not miss any WWW posts because that will help me be more punctual and regular about the posts on the blog. And God knows I’m slacking, haha. Even Insta will stop being inspirational for me and I am thankful that writing and this blog is my safe place and therapy. Thank you for reading. I am thinking of making this even more personal so that it can soothe me, help me keep sane. I will decide soon, but hope all of you have a good day today! 🙂

Festooned to your ship
Simply guided along…
No one is using the word festooned anymore. Haha! But I loved this idea of a simple and wonderfully sweet commitment.
Hope you have a good day! 🙂
“You will never ‘find’ time for anything. If you want time, you must make it. ”
“Whether it’s the best of times or the worst of times, it’s the only time we’ve got.”
“You can’t turn back the clock. But you can wind it up again.”
These quotes are excellent no doubt, but they are a little bit for me! Right now, I’ve been wasting a ton of time, not being focused on work and maybe a little bit uninspired by certain aspects of my life. That is no excuse because the things I’ve undertaken will take a long time and a good amount of effort. So, hoping that these inspire you and me both to be a little more productive today and in the days to come!
Have a good day! 🙂 Smile a lot.

The world is our oyster.
And we wander looking for a bond
A connection that completes us
The same face to wake up to at dawn.
Written for the 26th day of October for the #31DaysofGratitude over on Instagram. I’m posting daily on my Instagram account and giving life updates through my stories. You can follow me there. This is the freshest post on Insta and on the blog both.
Have a great day!
I had a plan. I had promised myself that I would do all the travel posts in chronological order but adulting comes in the way. So this evening, when I felt motivated enough, I decided I would make the posts that I love when I am in the mood for them. After all, this is my blog and I can make (and break 😉 ) the rules!
So, 2 days ago, on October 2 2019 (almost a month ago, do you see when I started writing this post 😛 ), we as a group went to Hannover in Germany to celebrate Gandhi Ji’s 150th birth anniversary. The plan started because of this commitment but our trip was almost the whole day where we explored the city and its marvels before attending the show in the evening at the Hannover International School where IASH put up a beautiful show about the Indian culture and Gandhian values.
So, let us start with our train journey to Hannover. These were our views!
And when we finally reached the Hannover Hauptbahnhof (main train station), it was very busy but beautiful once we got out.
The Opera House.
The Rathaus (Central Office Place)
Machseefontane. (The little sea, as I understand)
The Main Gandhi Jayanti event where there was music, mime, children’s events and food!
The Oktoberfest carnival was also on!
I always buy something from the place I visited. So I got this fridge magnet, and 2 postcards for my collection! That is it for now. I’m literally posting after one month. It was my first month back to college and it took everything out of me, and it won’t be the busiest. But I promise I’ll be better at posting, I have to for my own sanity too. This is my happy place along with Insta where I’m posting short pieces daily!
Have a good day!
