Blog in Review : 2015

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for my blog.

Thank you for showing all this love to a new blogger. 🙂

Here’s an excerpt:

A New York City subway train holds 1,200 people. This blog was viewed about 5,500 times in 2015. If it were a NYC subway train, it would take about 5 trips to carry that many people.

DARTS AWARDS – PREMIOS DARDOS

Once more, David nominated me for the famously legendary Premios Dardos! Translated, in means ‘Prize Darts’, and is awarded by one blogger to another, in recognition of cultural, ethical, literary and personal values that are transmitted in the form of creative and original writing. (Yay!)

His blog, if you haven’t seen it yet, is truly a treasure chest! I love it simply because it has quotes, daily fitness routines and awesome content. No wonder he’s always getting awards for being friendly, helpful, creative, and frankly, a very passionate blogger. There is a whole website on how to be healthy with good eating habits, exercise regimen and excellent foodie recipes too.

It’s an honour to have been nominated by him!

Three Day Quote Challenge: Diary Special!

Once upon a time, Chape Personal Trainer, nominated me for a Three Day Quote Challenge. I was very happy to have been challenged to do something I already loved so much! In my post, I admitted that I loved quotes so much that I have a diary for them. David then requested me to share that diary here on the blog.

David has been so wonderful and helpful that I don’t feel shy about sharing my diary. So, today, I will show that diary here!

Diary 1.jpg
It was something I started out with at least 10 years ago, and I have been writing in it ever since. It has definitely seen better days and good handwriting. In fact, I can honestly track the changes in my handwriting through it!

The quotes were general in the beginning and as my interest developed, I started focussing on certain themes- life, nature, Buddha, sacrifice, education and more. Then I even noted down important sayings, metaphors and proverbs. I also scribbled some smart-ass T-shirt quotes which made me laugh on days when I felt low. I have also found some cult phrases in my diary which were big at that time!

Three Day Quote Challenge: Nietzche Special

At the challenge given to me by David from Chape Personal Trainer,  I post these three quotes today. Be sure to check out his blog!

We feature a Friederich Nietzche special today!

“You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist.”

“Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.”

He who would learn to fly one day must first learn to stand and walk and run and climb and dance; one cannot fly into flying.

I nominate the following for this challenge!

Three Day Quote Challenge: Round 2!

David from Chape Personal Trainer nominated me once again for the Three Day Quote Challenge, and I couldn’t be happier! My love for beautiful words is unparalleled. Since, I look for ways to save them, scribble them and store them for later use, this quote challenge makes me giddy – excited to the point of disorientation!

David is a Liebster Award winner, a fitness freak and a more awesome blogger. His blog, easy on the eyes and high on information is serving as my top motivator to lose weight and be healthy, from outside and within!

This time, I chose the Three Quotes A Day variation of the challenge. Continue reading “Three Day Quote Challenge: Round 2!”

Blogging 201: Best of ‘Vintage Sapience’

December marks the end of a year. For me, it has been eventful, and entertaining. I made a blog, I published at least 9 posts per month and I have been showered by the love and tremendous appreciation of fellow bloggers for my work.

When I see the quality of work that is out there, I am overwhelmed. In such a large pool of talent, my humble blog is getting its share of love! So, this is a thank you to all of my readers. I could not have asked for a better blogging experience.

As part of the Blogging 201: Branding and Growth Tips, I participate in today’s challenge. I am making a new page, ‘The Best of Vintage Sapience’, listing all the great posts and the most loved ones.
